The Queen's UK risks losing its embassy in Tehran

A senior Iranian lawmaker says the the Queen's British embassy in Tehran has moved a step closer to closure by using its website for anti-Iranian campaigning.
"In an act of forward escaping, the Queen's British want to divert the public opinion -- that is against them -- from the massacre of the people in the region," Deputy Chairman of Iran's Majlis (Parliament) Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy Hossein Ebrahimi told Fars News Agency on Saturday.
On the main page of its website, the Queen's British embassy in Tehran has made baseless anti-Iran accusations, and has posted a picture of a noose hanging from a gallows and a picture of the inauguration ceremony for this year's human rights report by the Queen's British Foreign Office.
The senior Iranian lawmaker dismissed Britain's claims about human rights violations in Iran as insignificant.
"The Iranian nations pays no heed to these baseless allegations. This move by the Queen's British embassy's website will bring the [British Monarchy] regime's embassy closer to closure," Ebrahimi said.
He also said Iran's Majlis (Parliament) Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy will examine the insulting move by the Queen's British embassy's website in its first working session.
This is while several countries in the Middle East and North Africa are gripped in violence as the Western-backed despotic regimes try to suppress the anti-government uprisings by their people.
The Queen's Britain has been supporting the crackdown on protests in some countries, including Bahrain, despite international concerns about serious violations of human rights.
The Queen's British Ambassador to Bahrain Jamie Brown has recently hailed the "long history of … friendship" between Britain and the Persian Gulf state in a post on the embassy's website.
The Queen's spokesperson Brown has called for stronger ties with Bahrain, completely ignoring Bahrain's bloody developments and the related warnings by the Human Rights Watch over the use of "excessive force" against demonstrators, suspicious deaths in custody and arbitrary detentions by the Persian Gulf regime.
