US Diplomats Told to Spy on Other Countries at United Nations --Orders from Clinton 28 Nov 2010 The US State Department gave its diplomats instructions to spy on other countries' representatives at the United Nations, according to a directive signed by Hillary Clinton. Diplomats were told to collect information about e-mail accounts, credit cards and passwords, among other things. US diplomats are alleged to have been requested by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to spy on the diplomats of other countries at the United Nations. That was the purpose of the "National Humint Collection Directive," which has been seen by SPIEGEL. The document was signed by Clinton and came into force on July 31, 2009.

Leaked cable: US spied on Hamas, PA 28 Nov 2010 The US government in 2008 directed its personnel across the Middle East to gather meticulous intelligence on Hamas and Palestinian Authority officials, a leaked diplomatic cable reveals. The cable, provided to The Guardian by the whistleblower group WikiLeaks, lays out a "national human intelligence collection directive" asking US personnel to obtain "Details of travel plans such as routes and vehicles used by Palestinian Authority leaders and HAMAS members."

WikiLeaks: Saudi Arabia Urged Attack On Iran 28 Nov 2010 Saudi Arabia repeatedly pushed America to attack Iran in a bid to stop it developing nuclear weapons, confidential US documents reveal. The revelation is among thousands of potentially embarrassing US documents that were due to be published by whistleblower website WikiLeaks, which had said it is under cyber attack. US documents show leaders in Saudi insisted an attack on Iran was necessary to "cut the head off the snake" of its nuclear programme.

WikiLeaks: We are under denial of service attack 28 Nov 2010 10:38 AM PST Whistleblower WikiLeaks said today its Web site has been targeted by a massive computer attack, just hours before an expected release of classified U.S. documents. "We are currently under a mass distributed denial of service attack," WikiLeaks said on its Twitter feed. Efforts to reach the page as of this writing were unsuccessful. In a Twitter post last week, the whistleblower site announced it was preparing to release its largest cache of classified documents.
