We are surprised. Because we were not even given the opportunity to give a response to Mr. Teltumbde. This shows beyond doubt that Sanhati.com was never interested in running the debate on the caste question with fairness. First Sanhati published a statement full of lies and falsehood issued by Republican Panthers against us. When we sent a parawise reply to RP's statement, first it was sent (without publishing) to Anand Teltumbde. Then Sanhati.com waited for Mr. Anand Teltumbde to respond to our reply to RP's statement and defend himself (though he did it very poorly!). When Mr. Teltumbde wrote his rejoinder, only then Sanhati.com published our reply to RP's statement. We sent our response to Anand Teltumbde's rejoinder, which is a parawise response to Teltumbde, three days ago. However, now we've been told by the Sanhati.com that its editorial board has decided to close the debate! So, one side was given the opportunity to present a critique of our stand, rather hurl abuses and slander against us, but when we sent our response to this slandering and abuse, in the name of criticism, we have been told that Sanhati.com has closed the debate. THIS IS HOW SANHATI.COM CONDUCTS A DEBATE! Clearly, the Sanhati people also are victim of the defeatism and surrenderism prevalent in the Left circles, which forbids any criticism of Ambedkar, Ambedkarites and other Dalit intellectual. We firmly believe that such policy of appeasement is not going to benefit anything, neither the dalit movement, nor the Left movement. Those who call themselves Leftists fighting against neo-liberalism should at least gather the courage to call a spade a spade.
